Parking at the health centre is a problem. We have very few bays allocated to us. The majority are for medical personnel, who require access in and out through the day (to be able to attend patients). There are two slots for disabled individuals. 3 slots are for the dental practice – please do not park in these, as they are the only provision they have for their staff and patients. Cars parked in medical spaces will be assumed to be medical staff at the practice and may be double-parked over. The double-parked car is not likely to be moved until the end of surgery (we apologise if this causes inconvenience but you have been warned).
There are spaces on the left hand side as you drive up the short hill to the health centre. These are for short stay only and are regularly patrolled and offending vehicles fined or clamped. We are not responsible for this; please address concerns or complaints to the university security office.
Parking is provided in the Social sciences/Visitors Car Park. This is situated next to the MRI building, which is at the back of Hugh Stewart hall and Cripps hall. A map showing this is available in WHERE WE ARE
Overall we accept that parking access to the health centre is difficult but that is the case for much of this beautiful campus as the University strives to keep it green and open.
