Freshers' week or Week One 2016
Welcome to Nottingham.
Registering with a local doctor may not be top of your list when moving away from home.
However it is really important to register with a Nottingham practice
- if you are ill and need to see a doctor urgently
- to manage your ongoing care if you have a long term condition such as asthma
- to issue repeat prescriptions for medication
General practitioners are the first point of contact for NHS patients. They are experts in family health, preventative care, and treating people with multiple and long-term conditions.
To be eligible for registration with the campus Health Centre, you must:
* Be registered for a minimum of six months tuition on a University course;
* Be resident within the area covered by the Health Centre: (if you live you outside this area, you may apply to register as an out of area patient – please download the Out of Area Application form or ask during the registration process)
Freshers' are advised to attend one of the registration sessions during week one.
The dates for registration are Monday 26th / Tuesday 27th / Wednesday 28th / Thursday 29th Sept.
