Secretaries
The secretaries keep the doctors organised, often following up and facilitating action that the doctor has suggested to the patient in a consultation. They communicate with the hospital through letters and increasingly through electronic means. Our secretaries serve as the main link between the doctors and their patients and others caring for their patients. So, a secretary may phone you or write to you and can often help if you are following up something from a prior contact, such as a referral (but obviously not medical advice to do with the problem).
