In addition to booking with our nurses, if you have a significant pre-existing medical problem such as diabetes or high blood pressure ─ especially where you are travelling for long periods and may need to take quantities of medication with you ─ then you should also book an appointment with your usual doctor.
Please note that NHS regulations state that if travelling abroad for more than three months, medication supplies beyond this period are not covered by NHS prescription charges and are to be provided for on private prescriptions. This may incur extra costs from the pharmacy.
