Complete the key information form and get four photocopies of each:

  • one for your backpack
  • one for your day bag
  • one to give to your parents/relatives
  • one to give to a trusted friend

Ask your relatives and friends to put them in a safe place in case you need to contact them.

Another suggestion is to scan in all your documents onto a computer then obtain a web based email address (eg hotmail.com). Then email them to yourself so that they are available on the internet anywhere you choose to access them.

For your mobile phone you need to check about enabling it for use abroad. You may also want to invest in an international roaming SIM card.

Broad spectrum antibiotics can be purchased with a private prescription from your GP.
