Using the service and key basics
The opportunity to travel is taken by many students at sometime during their course. Sometimes this is during the summer vacation, or because it is a requirement of their course. Equally for staff international travel has become increasingly frequent, especially to the campuses in Malaysia and China
The chance to travel is a great opportunity to experience different cultures and environments and at Cripps Health Centre we want ensure that during any trips you undertake you remain healthy and protected from important diseases.
In order to achieve this the staff at the health centre have developed a comprehensive travel service in association with MASTA the UK’s leading national travel clinic. Led by Dr Hugh Porter (who has a masters degree in travel medicine, has been elected a member of the recently founded Faculty of Travel Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, as well as being a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and British Travel Health Association (BTHA) the team have a wealth of experience in this field and are able to draw upon MASTA’s database to ensure accurate and up to date information for all our travellers
