Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:

  • Use your NHS account (via ‘submit a new request’ on homescreen or NHS App)
  • Call us during opening hours to request
  • Hand in your paper request form at reception (Mon to Fri, 8am to 6.30pm)

We do not take repeat prescription requests via email.

Collecting your prescription

Usually ready 24–48 working hours after ordering

Collect from your nominated pharmacy

You can change your nominated pharmacy via the NHS App, at the practice, or at any pharmacy

Medication queries

Ask your local pharmacist for advice on medicines, side effects, and over-the-counter treatments

Check the NHS website: Medicines A to Z

Or use our medication query form to contact the surgery

Medication reviews

Patients on repeat prescriptions are reviewed at least once a year by our clinical team

Please book when invited to avoid delays in future prescriptions

Non-urgent advice: ADHD

ADHD medicines are controlled drugs and can only be prescribed under shared care with an NHS specialist

We cannot share care with private providers – referrals are directed to Nottinghamshire Neurodevelopmental Specialist Service (NeSS)

Ensure you have an adequate supply from your specialist, especially if coming from abroad

About pharmacists

As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:

  • coughs
  • colds
  • sore throats
  • tummy trouble
  • aches and pains

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.

Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
